## Project Background
The old coking plant, with an annual production capacity of 2 million tons of coke, has coke oven gas with main components including CO (55%) + H2 (22%) + CH4 (5%), distributed across multiple areas such as the coke oven front operation platform, gas holder, and purification workshop. The detectors originally installed 10 years ago have experienced accuracy drift and frequent false alarms.
## Implementation Plan
The combination of the Panshi YQ-CO high-tolerance electrochemical sensor and the YQGT multi-parameter detector covers 32 key monitoring points. The data is transmitted back to the group company’s “environmental protection dashboard” via the factory’s 5G private network.
– High concentration range (0-2000ppm) + 1ppm resolution
– Dust-proof rating of IP66, suitable for high-concentration fly ash environments
– Directly linked with the DCS of the coke oven room, it automatically starts and stops the exhaust system when exceeding the threshold
## Implementation Effect
Within half a year, four concealed leaks were discovered and addressed (including one case of rubber aging on the coke discharge door of the coke oven chamber). As a result, the monthly average number of employee health complaints decreased from six to zero.
