## Project Background
The provincial state grid company oversees 23 500kV transmission and transformation substations, with a total annual SF6 gas replenishment volume exceeding 12 tons, resulting in significant costs and environmental pressures (SF6 has a greenhouse effect 22,800 times that of carbon dioxide).

## Implementation Plan
23 stations are uniformly equipped with infrared principle SF6 online monitoring systems, with 6-12 points distributed in each GIS room. All data are integrated into the ecological environment management platform of the State Grid headquarters.

– Infrared resolution of 1ppm, significantly surpassing the national standard of 5ppm
– AI early warning: If the leakage rate is less than 0.1ppm/h, maintenance suggestions will be pushed
– Cooperate with the “zero emission” sealing operation process during the maintenance period

## Implementation Effect
In the first year of operation, the SF6 gas replenishment volume was reduced to 8.2 tons, achieving a 31% savings, which translates to approximately 87,000 tons of CO2 equivalent greenhouse gas emission reductions. It was recognized by the State Grid as an “Excellent Practice in Dual Carbon Action”.
