## Project Background
The subway line passes through a rich organic soil formation, posing risks of methane and hydrogen sulfide release during the shield tunneling process. The construction team requires 24-hour uninterrupted monitoring at each working face, and supports remote real-time viewing.
## Implementation Plan
30 sets of portable multi-parameter detectors are moved forward with the tunneling face, while fixed detectors are deployed every 100 meters in the excavated section. All data are accessed to the construction party’s safety management cloud platform via 4G/5G. Each work shift is equipped with 5 portable detectors.
– Explosion-proof Ex ia IIC T4 certification (applicable to coal mine gas environments)
– 4G/5G dual-mode data transmission, seamless synchronization between underground and surface
– Real-time rolling concentration data displayed on the on-site LED screen, allowing workers to visually grasp the safety status at any time
## Implementation Effect
During the 12-month construction period, there were no gas-related safety incidents, and the project was awarded as a “Benchmark Construction Site” by the owner unit (the city’s rail transit company).
