## Project Background
A municipal sewage plant with a daily treatment capacity of 600,000 tons has long experienced excessive H₂S concentrations in the grating room and sludge dewatering room. Operators and maintenance personnel have reported widespread symptoms of headache and nausea since taking up their positions. The accuracy of the detectors originally deployed 12 years ago no longer meets the new standard requirements.

## Implementation Plan
Insight into replacing old equipment with the YQH-H2S multi-parameter fixed detector, and adding the alarm whistle portable four-in-one as the standard equipment for operation and maintenance teams entering confined spaces. The monitoring data is integrated into the plant’s SCADA system, and the exhaust fan is automatically started and stopped in conjunction.

– Full coverage of 24 fixed monitoring points, with a resolution of 1ppm
– Portable equipment must be pre-checked for 5 minutes before working in a confined space
– Exhaust fan threshold linkage: starts at 5ppm, forces exhaust at 10ppm

## Implementation Effect
There were no incidents related to operations in confined spaces, and employee health complaints decreased by 90% year-on-year. The company successfully passed the safety inspection conducted by the provincial environmental protection department.
