乙硫醇 Detection
Formula C₂H₅SH · CAS 75-08-1 · 易燃 / 恶臭 / 刺激性
Hazards & Toxic Symptoms
Ethyl mercaptan is a colorless, flammable liquid with a putrid odor (human olfactory threshold is extremely low, 0.001 ppm). It is commonly used as a natural gas odorant. Its vapor irritates the mucous membranes.
Occupational Exposure Limits (GBZ 2.1-2019)
| PC-TWA (Time-Weighted Average) | 1 mg/m³ |
|---|---|
| IDLH (Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health) | 500 ppm |
| LEL (Lower Explosive Limit) | 2.8% |
| UEL (Upper Explosive Limit) | 18% |
⚠️ Actual alarm thresholds depend on on-site risk assessment. ⚙️ Use the GB Alarm Calculator →
Typical Application Scenarios
- Natural gas/liquefied gas odorant (primary)
- Petroleum refining desulfurization
- Pesticide synthesis
Detection Principle / Recommended Sensors
