四氯二氟乙烷 Detection
Formula C2H6 · CAS 76-12-0 · 烷烃(可燃)
Hazards & Toxic Symptoms
Tetrachlorodifluoroethane is a combustible gas or liquid belonging to the alkane category (saturated hydrocarbon chain), which is colorless and flammable. When mixed with air, it forms an explosive mixture. It has low inherent toxicity, and the main risks are: ① fire explosion (the lower explosion limit is usually 1-10%); ② high-concentration displacement of oxygen in enclosed spaces leading to simple asphyxia; ③ long-term exposure to high concentrations may cause mild anesthesia and dizziness. Alkanes heavier than air tend to accumulate on the ground/in low-lying areas. Storage sites must be equipped with LEL monitoring and mandatory ventilation.
Typical Application Scenarios
- Combustible gas leakage monitoring in chemical plant areas
- Gas station / LPG / Liquefied gas storage tank area
- Gas pipeline network inspection
- Laboratory fume hood LEL monitoring
Detection Principle / Recommended Sensors
Catalytic combustion (LEL universal) / Infrared (high concentration/oxygen-deficient scenarios) / PID (vapor VOC)
Common Range:0-100% LEL
