丁二烯 Detection
Formula C₄H₆ · CAS 106-99-0 · 烯烃(可燃)
Hazards & Toxic Symptoms
Butadiene is a combustible gas belonging to the olefin category (containing C=C double bonds), which is colorless and flammable. In addition to the risk of fire and explosion, olefins generally have an anesthetic effect, causing dizziness and drowsiness upon inhalation. Some olefins (such as acrylonitrile and vinyl chloride) pose a carcinogenic risk. Olefins heavier than air accumulate in low-lying areas. Chemical production sites should monitor both LEL and VOC concentrations simultaneously.
Typical Application Scenarios
- Petrochemical cracking/polymerization unit
- Surrounding the chemical reactor
- Storage tank area LEL monitoring
Detection Principle / Recommended Sensors
Catalytic combustion (LEL) / PID (VOC)
Common Range:0-100% LEL
