异丁醛 Detection
Formula C4H8O · CAS 78-84-2 · 醛类(强刺激)
Hazards & Toxic Symptoms
Isobutyraldehyde belongs to the aldehydes category (containing a -CHO carbonyl group) and has a strong irritating odor. It generally irritates the eyes, throat, and respiratory mucosa; some aldehydes (formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acrolein) have been classified as carcinogens by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). Low molecular weight aldehydes have high volatility at room temperature, which can easily cause indoor air pollution. They are commonly monitored using PID or specialized electrochemical sensors.
