丁酸 Detection
Formula C₄H₈O₂ · CAS 107-92-6 · 羧酸类(腐蚀性)
Hazards & Toxic Symptoms
Butyric acid, a carboxylic acid (-COOH structure), is corrosive. Its vapor irritates the eyes and respiratory tract; contact with its liquid form on the skin can cause burns. Low molecular weight carboxylic acids (such as formic acid and acetic acid) have a strong pungent odor. They are commonly used as raw materials for chemical synthesis, textile printing and dyeing, and food additives. Electrochemical sensors are commonly used for monitoring, and storage sites require corrosion-resistant materials.
