氟利昂R134A Detection
Formula CH₂FCF₃(1,1,1,2-四氟乙烷 / HFC-134a) · CAS 811-97-2 · 卤代烃制冷剂 / 强温室气体(GWP=1430)
Hazards & Toxic Symptoms
R134a (HFC-134a, 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane) is a colorless gas with a slightly sweet odor. It is the most commonly used hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant, with an ASHRAE safety rating of A1 (low toxicity, non-flammable). The main risks include: ① asphyxiation due to oxygen displacement caused by leakage in enclosed spaces (such as cold storage rooms, computer rooms, and auto repair shops) (1L of liquid gas ≈ 400L of gas upon vaporization); ② exposure to open flames or high-temperature metals (>250°C) leading to the decomposition and release of highly toxic substances such as HF and COF₂; ③ frostbite caused by contact with liquid R134a; ④ being a potent greenhouse gas (GWP=1430), it has been gradually restricted under the EU F-Gas Regulation. Commonly used monitoring methods include infrared (NDIR) and semiconductor halogen sensors.
