甲硫醇 Detection
Formula CH₃SH · CAS 74-93-1 · 易燃 / 恶臭 / 毒性
Hazards & Toxic Symptoms
Methyl mercaptan is a colorless gas with a rotten odor (audible at very low concentrations) and is flammable. It irritates the eyes and respiratory tract, and can cause coma at high concentrations. It is commonly used as an odorant for natural gas.
Occupational Exposure Limits (GBZ 2.1-2019)
| PC-TWA (Time-Weighted Average) | 1 mg/m³ |
|---|---|
| IDLH (Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health) | 150 ppm |
| LEL (Lower Explosive Limit) | 3.9% |
| UEL (Upper Explosive Limit) | 21.8% |
