氯化锗 Detection
Formula GeCl₄ · CAS 10038-98-9 · 氯代有机物(神经毒)
Hazards & Toxic Symptoms
Germanium chloride is a chlorinated organic compound, commonly known for its neurotoxic and anesthetic effects, as well as its potential to damage the liver and kidneys. Certain chlorinated hydrocarbons, such as carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, and vinyl chloride, have been classified as carcinogens by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). The Montreal Protocol has restricted the use of some varieties due to their ozone-depleting properties. Germanium chloride is primarily used as an organic solvent and chemical intermediate. It is commonly monitored using a photoionization detector (PID) (some varieties require strong ultraviolet light at 11.7 eV) or a dedicated electrochemical sensor.
Typical Application Scenarios
- Chlor-Alkali Chemical Industry
- Semiconductor CVD / Etching
- Pharmaceutical synthesis intermediates
- Dry cleaning/degreasing workshop
Detection Principle / Recommended Sensors
PID (some require 11.7 eV lamp) / electrochemical sensor
Common Range:0-100 ppm
