骈苯 Detection
芳香烃 / 苯系物
Hazards & Toxic Symptoms
Biphenyls are aromatic hydrocarbons/benzene derivatives (containing benzene ring structure), mostly as colorless flammable liquids with a special aromatic odor. They are commonly toxic to the nervous system - long-term exposure can damage the nervous system, liver, kidneys, and hematopoietic system; some benzene derivatives (benzene, ethylbenzene, aniline) have been classified as carcinogens by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and can cause leukemia. Commonly monitored using PID (IP 8.8 eV, high sensitivity).
