The main risks associated with this refrigerant include: ① asphyxiation due to oxygen displacement caused by leakage in enclosed spaces; ② decomposition at high temperatures (>250°C) releasing highly toxic substances such as HF and COF₂; ③ being a potent greenhouse gas (GWP=3985, with an atmospheric lifetime exceeding 30 years), and thus subject to strict regulation under the EU F-Gas Regulation; ④ severe frostbite upon contact with liquid form (boiling point -47°C); ⑤ stable composition after leakage due to its azeotropic nature (no need for complete recovery).
